WightQuest.com Interview: 1 – Shanklin Theatre (DofE)

In this video

Hi I am Olly, and as part of my DofE (Duke of Edinburgh Award) I am beginning to interview local projects, businesses and organisations from across the Island, to highlight their causes and motives. The DofE is a life-changing experience. A fun time with friends. An opportunity to discover new interests and talents. A tool to develop essential skills for life and work. A recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers. The DofE is many things to many people, supporting generations to successfully navigate adult life. 14-24 year-olds can do a DofE programme at one of three progressive levels which, when successfully completed, leads to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Already I have 6 months of Volunteering for Shanklin Theatre completed, and furthermore have completed an interview with the Box Office manager, (in which I will describe shortly) which has aided over half of my DofE Bronze Award.

Welcome to our first WightQuest.com interview, where Olly.P will be conferring with Matt Day, discussing all about the spectacular Shanklin Theatre, including an insight into its history, role, volunteers and exclusive video of the Theatre itself. As part of the interview we will be raising awareness of the Theatre and upcoming shows that YOU can go and watch! And if you haven’t already, please like and subscribe as every one of you helps us to produce more new, exciting content!
